1. In proportion to what is attained of that beauty
I suffer from yearning for it and from sorrow
١. عَلَى قَدْرِ مَا يَلْتَاحُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْحُسْنِ
أُكَابِدُ مِنْ شَوْقٍ إِلَيْهِ وَمِنْ حُزْنِ
2. Its charms have remained with me so whenever
I exceed my proper bounds therein it makes me forget myself
٢. لَطَائِفُهُ أَبْقَتْ عَلَيَّ فَكُلَّمَا
تَعَدَّيْتُ طَوْرِي فِيهِ غَيّبَنِي عَنِّي
3. Your affection suffices my innermost being a glance from you
And oh my triumph if you are pleased with it from me
٣. حَنَانَيْكَ تَكْفِي مُهْجَتِي مِنْكَ نَظْرَةٌ
وَيَا فَوْزَ قِدْحِي إِنْ رَضِيتَ بِهَا مِنِّي
