1. Good tidings, for which time stands up to eulogize
And horizons exude fragrance from it

2. This is the rising of your glorious conquests
That were never destined for their good fortune to set

3. You made God's religion manifest in the land of enemies
And subdued their idols and crosses through it

4. With the army you terrified their countries
Filling space, filling hearts and chests

5. An army that sees the toil of invasions as comfort
And the plain as difficult and the distant as near

6. The frontiers of religion were ennobled by it with pride
And faced through it events and calamities

7. And whenever an expedition set out for the Muslims
You showed caution towards it and urged it on

8. Until when its illness flared up and festered
The frontiers complained of it, and you were the healer

9. And whenever God wills the recovery of an era
No date has been appointed for it in the books

10. To God belongs the day of the Opening through which
A day agonizing for the unbelievers it was

11. An opening where wishes blossomed from their buds
And time showed its white hair through it

12. Your red banners encircled it, which
Led to it tribes and nations

13. And through it men clung to its walls
Crowding its balconies like lions

14. And the curved ribs of the fort bent with it
To ambush in it souls and hearts

15. As if it were the rainbow whose arcs bent
By the hands of clouds and poured down torrents

16. And its Lord saw death and leaned toward
Seeking safety, and it was said "No reproach"

17. And when a man entrusts his leadership to you
And hopes for your God-given clemency

18. After his supporters had abandoned him
In terror, and seen their promises false

19. And at night the tongues of its fire blazed
With screams reaching out but meeting no answer

20. If only they had surged toward you and gathered
The outskirts of their lands, young and old

21. You would have left them slain on the dust of the earth
And filled their lands with weeping and wailing

22. And left every cultivated one among them targeted
And every bedecked one among them stained

23. By a Yemeni band, for whenever it was affiliated
With the Arabs, it made the swords relatives

24. You clothed the kingdom of Rome with lasting disgrace
And covered its face with worry and frowns

25. So meet the eternal, victorious kingdom
And time green and the era grey-haired

26. And congratulate Abu Al-Hajjaj on the Opening through which
He sends you diverse conquests from the conquests

27. And enjoy its beautiful location, for it
either embitters a foe or gladdens a beloved

28. And time celebrates your kingdom, celebrating
Revealing wonder after wonder
