1. O Abu Malik, you are the son of kings,
The succor of dew and the lion of battle,

2. And the like of you finds comfort in honors,
With no equal amongst mankind.

3. It brings us joy to see
Your departure, telling of your leaving,

4. And we have known noble manners from you,
Rising above the ranks of perfection.

5. And in your company it has won hours of companionship,
As the specter of imagination came on a night visit.

6. And were it not for our excuse that we
Visit you atop the rug of glory,

7. And attain in you what we seek,
And that is easy to obtain from God,

8. Never would souls cease from sorrow,
Nor tears cease spilling forth.

9. You met it where good fortune has settled,
And God was with you in every state.
