وأَصْبَحَ فَرْداً مَا مَرَرْتُ بِهِ مَثْنَى
2. To the eye of the collective, abundant though they are
Erasing all distinction, your most radiant face
٢. وَعَادَتْ لِعَيْنِ الْجَمْعِ وَهْيَ كَثِيَرةٌ
مَحَا كُلَّ فَرْقٍ مُجْتَلَى وَجْهِكَ الأَسْنَى
3. Thoughts worship your highest traces
Eyes are confined by your verdant oasis
٣. تَعَبَّدَتِ الأَفْكَارَ آَثارُك الْعُلَى
وَقَيَّدَتِ الأَبْصَارَ رَوْضَتُكَ الْغَنَّا
4. Words fall short of attaining any end
Of the meaning your essence has revealed
٤. وَقَصَّرَتِ الأَلْفَاظُ عَنْ نَيْلِ غَايَةٍ
بِبَعْضِ الَذِي أَبْدَتْهُ ذَاتُكَ مِنْ مَعْنَى
