And a union that stung the defiant bosoms,

3. Would I find respite at the spring of dignified life
Or in the fluttering of lightning and rumbling of thunder,

4. You are the morning dispelling the gloom of misfortunes
And your palm is the key to the door of good fortune,

5. Your beauty is the essence of the grace of existence
And your door is abundant illumination and generosity,

6. And being pleased with you is the greatest thing
Indicating your abode is the eternal realm,

7. You have restored the caliphate and its lights
Beaming after a long slumber,

8. And you have united hearts with justice
And separated the wolves from the sheep,

9. So religion quaked for you
As a lush branch quivers,

10. If praising earthly kings
Is a string of pearls, praising you is the heart of the ode,

11. Are you not among those who obtained dew
And plunged into the dreadful with blades of steel,

12. Brandishing swords that shed
The blood of veins upon their surfaces?
