1. With you the lofty plans, so let them be gentle,
For you are their happiness in word and meaning,

2. When the high ones are mentioned, you are higher,
And if glory is mentioned, you are more glorious,

3. Your beauties have become gardens of Eden,
For those who seek kindness and beauty,

4. So whatever a man of discernment settles in them,
To man in them is what he wished for,

5. I have plucked Abu Sa'id a branch from you,
With it whatever I wanted of shade and shelter,

6. So be wherever my esteem takes you,
And pitch for me from the generous flock a structure,

7. You are the youth of youths without dispute,
And the like of me, who fulfilled with hand and praised.
