And in Minā have appeared

2. Tears of longing out of fear
Of separation have streamed

3. It marched, and how much anguish
In my heart it left

4. Jesting became a stage for the soul
Whose habits of seriousness it ruined

5. It fell in love with shadows
It became confused by them and went astray

6. Until when the sun rose
Its lights manifested and shone

7. The truth appeared to it as truth
So it parted from it and slipped

8. And it was awed by souls
That had come then turned away

9. When shackles constrained it
It became base, despised and humiliated

10. If the shackle is lifted from it
It rose up, became mighty and exalted
