1. I wandered in my time with determination
Yet time, the blamer, blamed me
١. بَأَوْتُ عَلَى زَمَنِي هِمَّةً
فَأَعْتَبَنِي الزَّمَنُ الْعَاتِبُ
2. And God honored me in my place
And in His house the writer is exalted
٢. وَشَرَّفَنِي اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنِي
وَفِي بَيْتِهِ يَشْرُفُ الْكَاتِبُ
