4. It has no hopes except for lies
How often has allurement deceived its seducer

5. Be not fooled by any fancy adornment
Soon its shame will be disclosed

6. Whoever makes peace with this life is befriending a snake
So let him beware how it bites

7. How can one fleeing escape
When he is busy night and day seeking it

8. Two armies of Blacks and Romans have encircled
The battlefield so their fleeing appeared

9. The summoner calls us and desire tempts us
Like one whose insight has betrayed him

10. The encounter draws near though the distance is far
And its circumstances change with one long-lived

11. Beyond our heedlessness is a final gathering
This is His Paradise and that is His Fire

Hardship seeks them out, finds its circumstances easy

13. From every full moon of darkness and sun of daylight
And clouds of generosity with unceasing rain

14. When he invades, blood is his banner
And when he brandishes, neighing is his trumpet

Honorable traits adorned and pure ancestry blessed

19. After his clouds of generosity poured forth during downpours
And his spears fulfilled vows

ูกูฉ. ู…ู†ู’ ุจุนุฏู ู…ุง ุฎู„ูŽููŽ ุงู„ุบูŽู…ุงุฆู…ูŽ ุฌูˆุฏูู‡ู
ุนู†ู’ุฏูŽ ุงู„ู‡ุทูˆู„ู ูุฃุบู’ุฏูู‚ูŽุชู’ ุฃู…ู’ุทุงุฑูู‡ู

20. After his swords quenched thirsty chests
And his blades cured diseased innermost hearts

21. O chaser of cowardly hyenas, his glory sets them aright
And his vales make them upright

ุฃู†ู’ุฌุงุฏูู‡ู ูˆุชูู‚ูŠู…ูู‡ู ุฃุบู’ูˆุงุฑูู‡ู

22. And intimacy urges him to take heed
For so long has its lesson been neglected

ููŠ ุงู„ุฏู‘ู‡ู’ุฑู ุทุงู„ูŽ ู„ุฃุฌู’ู„ูู‡ุง ุงุณุชูุนู’ุจุงุฑูู‡ู

23. Stop by the sacred valley and sanctuary
And head to a shrine whose neighborhood does not disappear

ูขูฃ. ุนุฑู‘ุฌู’ ุนู„ู‰ ุงู„ูˆุงุฏูŠ ุงู„ู…ู‚ุฏู‘ุณู ูˆุงู„ุญูู…ู‰
ูˆุงู‚ู’ุตูุฏู’ ุถูŽุฑูŠุญุงู‹ ู„ุง ูŠูŽุบูŠุจู ุฌูˆุงุฑูู‡ู

24. And the abode of righteousness whose sanctities were made great
And whose visitors' attire competed in humility

ูขูค. ูˆู…ูู‚ุงู…ู ุจูุฑู‘ู ุนูุธู‘ูู…ูŽุชู’ ุญูุฑูู…ุงุชูู‡ู
ูˆุงุฎู’ุชุงู„ูŽ ููŠ ุฎูู„ูŽุนู ุงู„ุฑู‘ุถู‰ ุฒููˆู‘ุงุฑูู‡ู

25. Its rites are fulfilled there and its corner is wiped
Forever, while its blood is shed for tears

ูขูฅ. ุชูู‚ู’ุถู‰ ู…ู†ุงุณููƒูู‡ู ูˆูŠูู…ู’ุณูŽุญู ุฑููƒู’ู†ูู‡ู
ุฃุจูŽุฏุงู‹ ูˆุชูู‚ู’ุฐูŽูู ู„ู„ุฏู‘ู…ูˆุนู ุฌูู…ุงุฑูู‡ู

26. How many fierce lions unsheathed their claws
Unless it was to whiten their nails

ูขูฆ. ูƒู…ู’ ููŠู‡ู ู…ู†ู’ ู„ูŠู’ุซู ู‡ูุฒูŽุจู’ุฑู ู…ุง ุณูŽุทุง
ุฅู„ุง ูˆู…ูู†ู’ ุจูŠุถู ุงู„ุธู‘ูุจุง ุฃุธู’ูุงุฑูู‡ู

27. And the abode of superiority which the hand of fate assailed
While its crescent of perfection was constant

ูขูง. ูˆู…ูู†ุงุฎู ูุถู’ู„ู ุฃู‚ู’ุตูŽุฏูŽุชู’ู‡ู ูŠูŽุฏู ุงู„ุฑู‘ุฏู‰
ูˆู‡ูู„ุงู„ู ุชูู…ู‘ู ุฎุงู†ูŽู‡ู ุฃุจู’ุฏุงุฑูู‡ู

28. It is as if their corporeal forms, when they appeared,
Were verses of admonition arranged in sequence

ูขูจ. ููƒุฃู†ู‘ู…ุง ุฃุฌุฏุงุซูู‡ูู…ู’ ู„ู…ู‘ุง ุจูŽุฏุชู’
ุขูŠุงุชู ูˆุนู’ุธู ุฑูุชู‘ูุจูŽุชู’ ุฃุณู’ุทุงุฑูู‡ู

29. A garden with aromatic air and birds singing melodies
While its trees swayed and branches dangled

ูขูฉ. ุฑูˆู’ุถูŒ ุชุฃุฑู‘ุฌูŽ ุนุฑู’ููู‡ู ูˆุชุฑู†ู‘ู…ูŽุชู’
ุฃุทู’ูŠุงุฑูู‡ู ูˆุชู‡ุฏู‘ู„ูŽุชู’ ุฃุดู’ุฌุงุฑูู‡ู

30. Evergreen in grant, the water of life quenched it
And the fence of majesty towered over its treasure

ูฃู . ุฎูŽุถูุฑู ุงู„ุฌูŽู†ุงุจู ุณูŽู‚ู‰ ู…ูŽุนุงู‡ูุฏูŽู‡ู ุงู„ุญูŽูŠุง

31. By Allah, what his clothes contained
Of pride was enough to make it soar

32. And many a riding animal whose destination
Was made for it while its valleys monopolized

ูฃูข. ูˆู„ูŽุฑูุจู‘ูŽ ุฑูŽูƒู’ุจู ุฃูุนู…ูู„ูŽุชู’ ู„ู…ูŽุฒุงุฑูู‡ุง
ุฃู‚ู’ุชุงุฏูู‡ู ูˆุงุณุชูˆู’ุซูŽุฑูŽุชู’ ุฃูƒู’ูˆุงุฑูู‡ู

33. They made the breeze their guide when the signposts disappeared
So its fragrance guided them

ูฃูฃ. ุฌุนูŽู„ูˆุง ุงู„ู†ู‘ุณูŠู…ูŽ ุฏูŽู„ูŠู„ูŽู‡ูู…ู’ ูˆู‚ุฏู ุงุฎู’ุชูŽูู‰
ุนู„ูŽู…ู ุงู„ุทู‘ุฑูŠู‚ู ูุฏู„ู‘ู‡ูู…ู’ ู…ูุนู’ุทุงุฑูู‡ู

34. Its pacts thrived under the best caliph
Whoever visited him, his burdens were forgiven

35. One whose generosity rivals the clouds
One whose dignity rivals mountains

ูฃูฅ. ู…ูŽู†ู’ ูƒุงู† ูŠูุนู’ุฏูŽู„ู ุจุงู„ุณู‘ุญุงุฆูุจู ุฌูˆุฏูู‡ู
ู…ูŽู†ู’ ูƒุงู† ูŠูˆุฒูŽู†ู ุจุงู„ุฌูุจุงู„ู ูˆู‚ุงุฑูู‡ู

36. If he wanted to hunt stars, he would attain them
Until reaching their height made him able

ูฃูฆ. ู„ูˆู’ ุฑุงู…ูŽ ูŠู‚ุชูŽู†ูุตู ุงู„ู†ู‘ุฌูˆู… ู„ู†ุงู„ูŽู‡ุง
ุญุชู‘ู‰ ูŠุญูุทู‘ูŽ ุนูู„ููˆู‘ู‡ุง ุงุณุชูู‚ู’ุฏุงุฑูู‡

37. His dirham with which he ascended
Would be a celestial moon or golden sun

ูฃูง. ูˆู„ูŽูƒุงู† ุฏูุฑู’ู‡ูŽู…ูู‡ู ุงู„ุฐูŠ ูŠุณู’ู…ูˆ ุจู‡ู
ุจุฏู’ุฑู ุงู„ุณู‘ู…ุงุกู ูˆุดู…ู’ุณูู‡ุง ุฏูŠู†ุงุฑูู‡ู

38. Or if he feared the birds of the air because of his assault
Their nests would expel him from their corners

ูฃูจ. ุฃูˆ ุฎุงููŽ ุทูŠู’ุฑูŽ ุงู„ุฌูˆู‘ู ู…ู†ู’ ุณูŽุทูŽูˆุงุชูู‡ู

39. King of Kings of greater essence than one cloaked in piety
His mantle fortified chastity and girded his loins

40. King of Kings and elite of elites whose
Lights were known for their duration

ูคู . ู…ู„ูƒู ุงู„ู…ู„ูˆูƒู ูˆู†ูุฎู’ุจูŽุฉู ุงู„ู†ู‘ุฎูŽุจู ุงู„ุฐูŠ
ุนูุฑูููŽุชู’ ุนู„ู‰ ุทูˆู„ู ุงู„ู…ูŽุฏู‰ ุฃู†ู’ูˆุงุฑูู‡ู

41. O You who relieve afflictions with a heart that
However it contends, its perils are humiliated before it

ูคูก. ูŠุง ูุงุฑูุฌูŽ ุงู„ุฃุฒูŽู…ุงุชู ุจุงู„ู‚ูŽู„ู’ุจู ุงู„ุฐูŠ
ู…ู‡ู’ู…ุง ุงุฑุชูŽู…ู‰ ุฐู„ู‘ุชู’ ู„ู‡ู ุฃุฎู’ุทุงุฑูู‡ู

42. O You who give charity generously in the darkness of night
While its veils are lowered

ูคูข. ูŠุง ู…ูุฌู’ุฒูู„ูŽ ุงู„ุตู‘ุฏูŽู‚ุงุชู ููŠ ุฌูู†ู’ุญู ุงู„ุฏู‘ุฌู‰
ูˆุงู„ู„ู‘ูŠู’ู„ู ู‚ุฏู’ ุณูุฏูู„ูŽุชู’ ู„ู‡ู ุฃุณู’ุชุงุฑูู‡ู

43. O You who care for orphans, injustice and the harms of fate are averted from them
With Your call, whether from Your right or left hand

ูคูฃ. ูŠุง ูƒุงููู„ูŽ ุงู„ุฃูŠู’ุชุงู…ู ูŠูุฏู’ููŽุนู ุนู†ู’ู‡ูู…ู

44. O You who by God's inspiration, your meditation illuminates the darkness
And your watches shine at dawn

45. O You who crossed the dense army as if it were
A sea whose waves clash with ships

ูคูฅ. ูŠุง ู…ูŽู†ู’ ุจูˆูŽุญู’ูŠู ุงู„ู„ู‡ู ููŠ ุฎูŽู„ูŽูˆุงุชูู‡ู
ุถุงุกูŽ ุงู„ุฏูุฌู‰ ูˆุชุฃุฑู‘ุฌูŽุชู’ ุฃุณู’ุญุงุฑูู‡ู

46. You gathered people but their number cannot be estimated
By the plenitude of leaves, nor besieged

ูคูฆ. ูŠุง ุนุงุจูุฑูŽ ุงู„ุฌูŠู’ุดู ุงู„ูƒูŽุซูŠูู ูƒุฃู†ู‘ู‡ู
ุจุญู’ุฑูŒ ุชู„ุงุทูŽู…ูŽ ุจุงู„ู‚ูŽู†ุง ุฒูŽุฎู‘ุงุฑูู‡ู

47. O You who cloaked pages with the light of guidance
The robes of beauty glittered with their lights

ูคูง. ุญุดูŽุฑูŽ ุงู„ุฃู†ุงู…ูŽ ููŽู…ุง ูŠุคู…ู‘ูŽู„ู ุญุตู’ุฑูู‡ู
ุจุดูŽุจุง ุงู„ูŠูŽุฑุงุนู ูˆู„ุง ูŠูุทุงู‚ู ุญูุตุงุฑูู‡ู

48. So it is as if their folios are whitened
Pearly dawns when their leaves are opened

ูคูจ. ูŠุง ู…ูู„ู’ุจูุณูŽ ุงู„ุฃูˆู’ุฑุงู‚ู ู…ู†ู’ ู†ูˆุฑู ุงู„ู‡ูุฏู‰
ุญูู„ูŽู„ูŽ ุงู„ุฌูŽู…ุงู„ู ุชู„ุฃู„ู‚ูŽุชู’ ุฃู†ู’ูˆุงุฑูู‡ู

49. And as if that ink is from the darkness of night
And as if its starry flowers are its pages

ูคูฉ. ููƒุฃู†ู‘ู…ุง ุฃุทู’ุฑุงุณูู‡ุง ู…ูุจูŠูŽุถู‘ุฉูŒ
ุบูุฑูŽุฑู ุงู„ุตู‘ุจุงุญู ุฅุฐุง ุจูŽุฏุง ุฅุณู’ูุงุฑูู‡ู

50. O You who preceded caliphs in nobility
And favors, so that none can match Your dust

51. O You who belittled ordeals when
Its illnesses multiplied and evils collided

To choose what pleases You, wherever it is found
