1. The hardships have passed, the efforts bore fruit,
The valleys and plains flourished with life and growth.
١. لقدْ زالَتْ اللأواءُ وارْتَفَعَ الجَهْدُ
وأطْنَبَ في شُكْرِ الحَيا الغَوْرُ والنّجْدُ
2. The winds carried blessings of rainfall,
Quenching the thirsty earth that longed for showers.
٢. غَداتَ سَرَتْ ريحُ النُّعامَى لَواقِحا
وجاءَ على آثارِها الغيْثُ منْ بعْدُ
3. Dark clouds gathered heavy with rain,
Thunder roared as lightning cracked its whip.
٣. سَحائِبُ أمْثالِ القِطارِ إذا ونَتْ
بمُثْقَلَةِ الأوْقارِ صاحَ بِها الرّعْدُ
4. The clouds unloaded their gift on the barren land,
Fulfilling their promise as the sheep grazed again.
٤. وهَشّ عليْها البرْقُ بالسّوْطِ فانْبَرَتْ
تُدافِعُ في عَرْضِ الفَلاةِ وتشْتَدُّ
5. Merchants came from near and far to trade,
With goods to please Yemen, India and beyond.
٥. فَما كانَ إلا أنْ أناخَتْ وعرّسَتْ
فعرّسَتِ النَّعْماءُ واقتُضِيَ الوعْدُ
6. Silken fabrics and carpets of vibrant hues,
Adorned lavish feasts under canopies.
٦. وجَلّتْ تِجارُ الرَّيْعِ كُلَّ بِضاعَةٍ
تُقرُّ لَها صَنْعاءُ بالفضْلِ والهِنْدُ
7. Thanks to You, O Merciful, for all You have given us,
Your kindness and blessings upon us forever.
٧. فما شِئْتَ فيها من نَمارِقِ سُنْدُسٍ
وإسْتَبْرَقٍ منْ فوْقِ غُبْرِ الرُّبى يبْدو
٨. ولائِمُ فضْلِ اللّهِ فيها مَوائدٌ
تَقومُ قِيانُ الوُرْقِ منْ فوْقِه تَشْدو
٩. لكَ الشُّكْرُ يا رَحْمانُ فِيما بذَلْتَهُ
منَ الرِّفْقِ فِينا دائِماً ولكَ الحَمْدُ
