1. The truthful intuition acted
In it the miracle appeared clearly
١. فَعَلَ الْخَاطِرُ الْمُصَدِّقُ فِعْلاً
ظَهَرَتْ فِيهِ لِلْعِيَانِ الْكَرَامَهْ
2. When it called me to write something
Others shunned from me, prudence and carefulness
٢. إِذْ دَعَانِي لِكَتْبِ شَيْءٍ تَعَاطَى
غَيْرُهُ مِنِّيَ الْبَنَانُ وَرَامَهْ
3. So the eyelids inclined to watchfulness
I found its choice and reliance
٣. فَكَبَا لِلْيَرَاعِ طِرْفٌ عَتِيقٌ
قد أَجَدْتُ اخْتِيَارَهُ وَاعْتِيَامَهْ
4. And the day smiled from the page of the book
An ink that cast upon it darkness
٤. وَتَعَشَّى النَّهَارُ مِنْ صَفْحَةِ الطِّرْ
سِ مِدَاداً أَضْفَى عَلَيْهِ ظَلاَمَهْ
5. Indeed, truthfulness in existence has elders
Its most valid signs appeared
٥. إِنَّ لِلصِّدقِ فِي الْوُجُودِ شُيُوخاً
قَدْ تَبَدَّتْ لَهَا أَصَحُّ عَلاَمَهْ
6. So desire God for protection and ask
From Him, glorified is He, guidance and safety
٦. فَارْغَبِ اللهَ فِي الْوِقَايَةِ وَاسْأَلْ
مِنْهُ سُبْحَانَهُ الْهُدَى وَالسَّلاَمَهْ
