1. You descended like rain in the country, bestowing grace
Upon the auspicious bird, the wide plains, and lowlands
١. حَلَلْتَ حُلوُلَ الْغَيْثِ فِي الْبَلَدِ الْمَحْلِ
عَلَى الطَّائِرِ الْمَيْمُونِ وَالرَّحْبِ وَالسَهْلِ
2. Promising with your blessed face
Elder, child, and mature man swathed in turban
٢. يميناً بمن تعنو الوجوه لوجهه
من الشيخ والطفل المعصب والكهل
3. Meeting you has brought me joy
Making me forget the sorrow of age and family
٣. لَقَدْ نَشَاَتْ عِنْدِي لِلُقِيَاكَ غِبْطَةٌ
تُنَسِّي اغْتِبَاطِي بِالِشِّيْبةِ وَاْلأَهْلِ
4. My love needs no witness
To state what is obvious would be ignorance
٤. وَوِدِّيَ لاَ يُحْتَاجُ فِيهِ لِشَاهِدٍ
وَتَقْرِيرِيَ الْمَعْلُومَ ضَرْبٌ مِنَ الْجَهْلِ
