1. Did you not know, O mother of Amrah, that I
Was wronged by the vicissitudes of time when I grew old,

2. And I saw many pilgrims from Awif
Circumambulating the honorable, glorious Kaaba.

3. Husain wished that he would master his tribe,
Yet Husain was humbled and overpowered.

4. And they were women of Qais ibn Aasim
Who prayed through the night invoking abundant good.
