1. No matter how events twist and turn

Yet the days and years now erode their lines

To jihad, for they had no doubts

32. A people who when called upon, responded without fear
They sacrificed themselves for God and took the lead

33. Saladin led the ranks with great effort
And beneath his banner were might and triumph

34. He marched on crushing the invading army victoriously
As the earth, crowns, and thrones acclaimed him

35. He drove back the invaders, defeated, on their heels
Scattered and unprotected by any precautions

36. Until he restored glory and honor to the nations
A towering figure whose memory does not fade

37. O my people where is Saladin to break through?
And where is Hattin? Do we know of their like?

38. Will history repeat their original endeavor
That we might build upon the ruins of those who passed?

39. We will revive it as a raging, stormy wind
To banish these villains, leaving no trace

40. And O my country, we will defeat every invader
Your brilliant epoch will live again

41. Your eternal mountains - if tyrants dare trespass
They will rise against injustice, aflame with rage

42. The blood of the youth scents its corners
How many minds have they twisted, how much blood spilled

43. How many martyrs unjustly murdered in its precincts
How many exiles long for its shelter from afar

44. They rose up and vowed themselves to truth
And the path of glory - they did not fail their vow

45. They paid the ultimate price, and who pays more dearly
Than he who prevails through steadfast perseverance?
