I don't claim to explain the ineffable

2. Rather, I speak to my capacity
Revealing only what I've contemplated

3. You've distanced your evening from your morning
Rising to the heights, intellect separating them

4. I won't give earthly kings their requests
By saying they're earth while you're heaven

5. Through you this age has matured
Returning in old age to puberty

6. And we don't think that in the life we ​​live
We'll find a cure for aging before it comes

7. A view and resolve whose limits were surpassed
By the disasters you confronted with them

8. You're the sword that whenever chaos called
Would facilitate a bath or permit bloodshed

9. Since you began judging us, who lives in Syria
Couldn't be distinguished from who lives in the Holy Lands

10. Do you see anything but the days going normally?
And they saw you avenging the norm

11. Or would someone whose armies gathered
The noble Arabs and the non-Arabs be frightened by turmoil?

12. How can eyes that are humbled by your grace look ambitious
When Mansur decides and intends?

13. Or how can they fear groups of corrupters while
A sword that never dulls has unsheathed among them

14. They saw their nights when he was feeling peaceful
And had he drawn his sword they'd have seen their day clouded

15. You've belied their hopes of glory when they were insolent
So since they disobeyed, you've confirmed obedience as generosity

16. Gifts aim towards; reviving the destitute, while
Amidst them are authorities killing the confused

17. And favorites, if the lands of enemies have settled them
Make every distant fleeing refugee seek shelter

18. They're feared while pure of the well-born
So what do they think if you spur them on?

19. Your sword harvests, never abandoning its positions
Against the tyrants, as it would harvest if it shattered

20. How often have you struck the heart of an enemy
Whose heart plotted against you when he threw

21. And since the news of Tabriz emerged, they haven't gathered
So did you pitch a station or tents there?

22. And if they attacked you in confusion, they wouldn't find
Anything but retreat to your outstretched shade

23. When they were condemned by one whose separation you fear
You decreed, empowered, that they protect their reputations

And you've thrown whoever you directed talk of forgiveness to

25. To perdition, while you've thrown a morsel to who you've spared
And whoever you stretched your hand against as a threat

26. Is like one you drew a sharp sword against
This is visible, experienced glory - not

27. What is claimed by whoever claims
And you've flooded Ibn Hassân with the abundance of your clouds

28. So he never doubted he'd win or imagined
He responded before being called out, for if any but you

29. Called him, he would have shown deafness

30. And I don't care as long as your magnificence
Has silenced the one who censured you

31. How often have you succeeded the living in the absence
Of the one with power unlike when he was concerned

32. You secured his territories so that the illness
Defeated through you wouldn't return to them

33. And they harbored so the place of shelter was a hand
You empowered that extracted pillars from its sands

34. So every sword whose sharpness eliminates fear
Is sacrificed for a sword eliminating dread and nonexistence

35. When he sees a path to God's approval in it
With hellfire below or wild predators to dive into

And how often has forbidden fruit flaunted itself

37. In his most splendid attire without tempting him
If you were rewarded with the least you've gifted

38. They would tread your horses underfoot and the summits
And kiss every street you used to walk

39. Until its ground becomes pulp on the lips
Oh son of Khadhrami, their flood has ebbed for

40. The generous while their sea has overflowed
They've been accompanied by hands releasing springs

41. Onto mankind, and by swords releasing blood

42. Preceding them with piety and forbearance is an armored one
Whose elders were never weaned off wartime's milk

43. They refused so they wouldn't retreat from a position they took
Frightened, nor would they turn back defeated in battle

And though traits of those who've died elevate you

45. News of them has sufficed you from mentioning the ancients
You aren't transformed when boasting

46. Of a people's virtues who've become relics

47. Rather, you're more overflowing than who the steeds walk with
When good repute is divided into portions

48. And these are praises that have kept dormant forever
Whoever they didn't appoint, while they crowned a king

49. You've undertaken burdens that if inflicted
Upon towering mountains would hurt

50. Until you've ascended through deeds you've secured
Against enviers saying, "He barely divided!"

Oh supporter of the state, your conduct forgot

52. Those honored and dignified throughout eras

53. You've deposited unto the fleetingness of this age
Enduring perfections unlike what the ancients deposited

54. Virtues none but al-Husayn attained
So we'd think you shared his traits

55. Did the spirits of the Pious and you become one
In the possession of the Virtuous or did you determination?

56. Indeed the Imam whose words compiled
Jurisprudence, deriving rulings from them

57. His expressions show his intended meaning
And his gestures show meaning for whoever understands

58. If the prominence of his state's sons weren't long
He wouldn't have appointed a flag for it over them

59. He'd differ what the furthest neighbor was wronged
A day, even if the quarters were violated

60. He gives thousands and meets numbers like them
From horsemen in the fray smiling

How often have those who saw him in war and time of play said

62. The land that grows dignity won't grow humiliation

63. If he descends to the valley, the snakes will be there
And if he roams the wilderness, it will have the languid lions

64. And for his ears tunes so much
He neglected instruments and tunes for them

65. Enough faulting you, a Lord has revealed
Through you the clouds from this gloomy world
