1. Your efforts are uncountable, so they cannot be grasped by counting
And your glory does not satisfy standing at the limit

2. The attributes did not fall short with you out of intent
But they went beyond, yes beyond, the aim

3. And truly if discourse is close or inaccessible
Without a partner in praise which we dedicate

4. With wings of outstanding success you have ascended high
And I consider they have flown with wings of illusion

5. You have added striving to glory, and you were not
Like one who neglected glory relying on glory

6. And everyone rising to the sublime is thirsty while
You are honored with reasons that carried paths of roses

7. You surprised fate until you deceived it
Its resolves days that gallop but no one to race

8. So it sees in every day its guidance
And how many years have passed in which it was distracted from guidance

9. So the cutting blades of fierce fate did not weaken
And Allah determined the triumph of Islam since it was pulled with the promise

10. And the imam of era found the help of his grandfather
Traced back to Azd, so he chose the most honorable of Azd

11. And he did not gather a necklace from the gems of his deeds
Unless you were the intermediary of the necklace

12. Were you not the supporters of the religion of old
At Bayda and Rudayniyya where it (the religion) took refuge

13. And among them are men who fought for their prophet
At Badr and among them was he of the headband at Uhud

14. He went, taking the Messenger’s sword rightfully
And he turned back shedding blood that flooded

15. And lineage with al-Muhallab and his son, Yazid,
Suffices two dynasties spending aid

16. And the day of Banu Qurayza days when their factions rebelled
Their tribes were subjugated by none but Sa`d

17. And your past elders who followed the ways of sublimity
They stood in sanctity and were steadfast on shrewdness

18. Lions in afflictions that fall upon the enemies in fear
When the necks of slaves in them start falling

19. And if the jealous provoke unrest in an affliction
They fly to it every long-necked camel

20. And if good omens were little, their palms
Distribute gifts twisting and coiling

21. And you have pardoned them of sin omnipotently
And fulfilled assistance of the right with the covenant

22. And disobeyed them in orders and prohibition to caprice
And obeyed Allah in permissibility and prohibition

23. Their souls that love you, beloved is their survival
Yes, and souls not hated to be lost

24. And all who are hard of hearing toward one crying out for help
His nearby caller to him is like the distant

25. In him deafness when asked, and if made
To hear generosity, he would be deafer than the centuries

26. You have filled the hearts of creation with fear and awe
For you protect a neighbor, one whose friendship is neglected

27. So are you Dhu’l-Tha`laban or Lord of the sharp blade
One who dons a coat of mail or the carrier of coats of mail

28. And joy when she disobeyed you, you deprived her
From the inheritance of determination, from father and grandfather

29. Obstinate, her affair went beyond so you subjugated her
To blessings of humiliation from which she will not be safe from expulsion

30. Destroyer of supporters, defiant horsemen
Shaker of pillars, stubborn lioness

31. You have supported the swords so their blades have emerged
Perfect in every perfect cutting

32. And were it not for the determination you support them with
David's craftsmanship would be preferred over the Indian craft

33. And since you have supported the religion, his armies are humbled
With banners of victory and armies of triumph

34. And were it not for armies, the resolutions from which
The wall of Gog and Magog surging from the dam would be sealed

35. With long-lasting might, height and majesty
And not long-lasting in threat, neither promise

36. It has a chapter that exhausted kings claiming it
And the chapter of might—below it is Surat al-Asad (The Lion)

37. And your resolve does not shrink from blood being shed by the hand
That carried the palm of defiance from the sword

38. You exceed in extending favors without excess
And you exceed limits in extending blessings without excess

39. So do not ever delay one displaying obedience to you
For I see him concealing an opposite of what he shows

40. He affirms it in words in affirmation of a submitting Muslim
And denies it in action in denial of an apostate

41. So travel with a view that prepared the west in certainty
In preparing what is between Iraq and India

42. By my life, your hands have been granted merits
That close the ways of jealousy to your enviers

43. So let them not suppose they are newly found virtues
For you have been guided to them since the cradle

44. By Allah, if justice persists life,
Then the easiest thing that comes to it leads to eternity

45. And if you blocked in the times every darkened one
You have protected them from every incident of its darkness

46. To bring you joy what the tongues of creation have described of you
In thanks and the hearts in friendship

47. Hearts that you have dispelled fear from with its opposite
For with them you are sweeter than wealth and children

48. You have remained for our lord so the people of his land
With your sacrifice and kindness in time of ease

49. And the ideas of his dominion and virtuous one
By your quarter—raining mercy like a blessed star

50. Humam—who established from justice a practice
The counting of which falls short even of the centuries

51. Yes, I have turned away from all no goal besides you
So I have calculated my riding camels to the number [of yours]

52. I have left shadows that are shaded in another
And inclined to a shade encompassing the people

53. And I have said to my days: "I have reached the apex of heights
So solve, O noose of fortune, if you desire or pull tighter"

54. And I have gone astray in paths of immaculateness
So guide me to it, for one whom you guide does not fear misguidance

55. For I have the boldness that my family has
And not what they have in describing your glory that I have

56. And the easiest thing I strive for is the poverty that
Incapacitates those before and after me

57. Lighter than cloaked frost garment
And faster than frost in traversing lands

58. Verses, that if recited, a listener would not know
Whether they descend from Damascus or flow from Najd

59. And were it not for the manifest virtue of praises
Discourse would not have been opened by "In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful"

60. So you have not ceased wearing every robe
The sight of which is preferred over the softest silk

61. And celebrations do not cease to come and vanish
While you are the loftiest in mention, destiny, and glory
