17. O son of the exalted, they do not revere their honorable
until he shelters his neighbor from calamities.

18. A people, if they carry rancor, its edges lengthen

22. And you made the stick of virtues evergreen.
By God, you are a stick whose fruits it bears.

23. A nature that encompasses every pride in its elite
and tracks down the turbid that follows it.

24. So people of insight assist it universally
and its maidens are specifically yours.

25. The Imam branished the sword of events
since the sending of the Prophetโ€”may its brilliance return.

26. You built its state when you gave it victory,
erecting a glory that his supporters built for his grandfather.

27. You advised the state of the family of Ali with the advice of one
who nurtured revealing it secretly.

28. Al-Mansur, Ali, and Maโ€™ad spoke well of it
and Al-Nizar expressed it.

31. You do not follow what you did with its peopleโ€”
those you granted and they were not ungrateful.

32. Sins that err, wishes with assured beliefs,
and dew overflowing with its sea.

33. The dusty land could not contain a miser
if even a tenth of his number settled in it.

nor can any critic issue him.

36. The repeating of his swordโ€™s threats suffice him,
and his thoughts stand in for his gaze.

37. A king who resides in Damascus but his mention
is distant journeys for contemporaries.

38. He did not conceal himself from the Lord of an inquiry,
nor were curtains lowered over anything but piety.

39. Aversion from sins except that he
continues seeking forgiveness after being absent from them.

40. News of glory that darkness nearly preserved
due to the frequent telling of its entertainer.

41. Had he lived alongside Kisra, his crown and bracelet
would have been cast from it.

42. So let the pretentious despair of the status of one whose
are these merits and that, its builder.

43. The best house, if we count Hashim,
is the house you resided in and you are its finest.

44. A house that yearns for virtuesโ€”its young
are not thought to be roaming its corners.

45. It continues rising through good deeds, so is there
a station above the highest it could choose?

46. And Abu Ali translates them into the like
in every virtue, its traces are followed.

48. It gave so every generosity was rendered speechless,
its springs closed up and its rain followed.
