15. An event that afflicted 'Amir with misfortunes
So he submitted to it and it singled him out.

16. Indeed the stroke of death twisted a kingdom;
Had fate not cast it, it would not have hit its mark.

19. They are people who inherited valor and
Sternness and considered supremacy their right.

20. They left glorious power to the world
And they extracted its pure honey and plateau.

21. My soul yearns for the traveller who
The seeker of bounty does not hope will return.

22. The most generous of both worlds in self and
Character, mother, father and companion.

ู‚ุงู‹ ูˆูŽุฃูู…ู‘ุงู‹ ูˆูŽูˆุงู„ุฏูุงู‹ ูˆูŽู†ูุตุงุจุง

23. He was a stranger in this world and destiny
Met him in a way that only increased his estrangement.

24. He dislikes promises and waiting, so his hands quickly
Give generously and concisely.

25. He exceeded the limit of generosity and secured my companionship
So it is enough that I frequent him or doubt.

26. My mind flourished in his shadow, so I have sublime thoughts
That prevent regression and agitation.

ูขูฆ. ุนูŽู‚ูŽู„ูŽุชู†ูŠ ููŠ ุธูู„ู‘ูู‡ู ููŽุนูŽู„ุงุชูŒ
ุชูŽู…ู†ูŽุนู ุงู„ุฅูู†ุชูุฌุงุนูŽ ูˆูŽุงู„ุฅูุถุทูุฑุงุจุง

27. Between generosity, which his travel drives away poverty,
And relatives whom he teaches manners,

ูขูง. ุจูŽูŠู†ูŽ ุฌูˆุฏู ูŠูŽุณูŠุฑูู‡ู ูŠูŽุทุฑูุฏู ุงู„ููŽู‚
ุฑูŽ ูˆูŽู‚ูุฑุจู‰ ุชูุนูŽู„ู‘ูู…ู ุงู„ุขุฏุงุจุง

28. And gifts โ€“ when the world learned of them
It did not deny the sea has waves.

ูขูจ. ูˆูŽุนูŽุทุงูŠุง ู„ูŽู…ู‘ุง ุชูŽุนุงู„ูŽู…ูŽู‡ุง ุงู„ุนุง
ู„ูŽู…ู ู„ูŽู… ูŠูู†ูƒูุฑูˆุง ู„ูุจูŽุญุฑู ุนูุจุงุจุง

29. And he clothed me in garments that dressed me
Since the mantle of sorrow disappeared from me.

ู…ูุฐ ุชูŽูˆุงุฑู‰ ู…ูู†ูŽ ุงู„ุฃูŽุณู‰ ุฌูู„ุจุงุจุง

30. O daughter of the most generous, your status among people is great
Even if your calamity is momentous.

ูฃู . ูŠุง ุงูุจู†ูŽุฉูŽ ุงู„ุฃูŽูƒุฑูŽู…ูŠู†ูŽ ู‚ูŽุฏุฑููƒู ููŠ ุงู„ู†ุง

31. The Giver took back what He had given you
And who can dispute with the Giver?

32. You did not darken existence except by superior virtue
In which forms and doubts disappear.

ููู‚ุชู ููŠู‡ู ุงู„ุฃูŽุดูƒุงู„ูŽ ูˆูŽุงู„ุฃูŽุถุฑุงุจุง

33. So ignore the opinion of a nation you are not from
And act like one who fears the Reckoning.

ูฃูฃ. ููŽุฏูŽุนูŠ ุฑูŽุฃูŠูŽ ุฃูู…ู‘ูŽุฉู ู„ูŽุณุชู ู…ูู†ู‡ูู…
ูˆูŽุงููุนูŽู„ูŠ ููุนู„ูŽ ู…ูŽู† ุชูŽุฎุงูู ุงู„ุญูุณุงุจุง

34. And be consoled by Davidโ€™s view during turmoil,
When he fell kneeling and repented.

36. The decree of God cannot be challenged if it descends
So be patient with His judgement and seek reward.

And studied the Scripture thoroughly?

38. It befits one who holds fast to the Scripture
As religion and frequents the prayer niche to be patient.

39. For some excuse this service was delayed
Not because I lacked propriety.

40. My eyes flowed with tears and my mouth was silenced
So how excellent is the repenting tongue!

41. My heartache persists in an illness that gathered
The loss of the monarch and leaders for me.

42. Would that I had not regained consciousness, for what his loss
Brought made life easier and more pleasant.

43. It does not equal a tenth of what he used to
Make my life bitter with grief and depression.

44. He brought me joy when present, and denied and enriched me,
So I lost happiness when he was absent.

45. And despite myself, I refuse to make praise unpleasant
And call one who, if he understood, would answer

46. With words whose utterance I do not consider
Presumptuous, nor for which do I seek reward โ€“

47. A traveller who never ceases to thank
His blessings, just as meadows thank the rainclouds.
