1. There is no aspiring to heights but through you,
None can attain what your hands have grasped.

2. So let him despair who is unworthy of it,
For it is yours, may Allah bless you when He blessed you.

3. The people slept while cares for it kept you awake,
A concern for it, apart from them, kept you awake,

4. Until you came seeking it early in the morning,
Heading for the path, alongside the one accompanying you.

5. O Mustafa, pride of the noblest kingdom and treasure of
The master of authority and its piercing sword.

6. Whoever aspires to your lofty position, let him prepare
A might like your might or helpers like your helpers.

7. Lower yourself unto it though before you no limit,
And take your stance where you view men behind you.

8. Relent not your resolve seeking the enemies' tracks,
For if you were content with some of it, it would suffice you.

9. If they attained no succor, they have become
Allies of Rome in their idolatry.

10. They who hoped that Allah would restore
What He gave you have come to naught.

11. Such was the treachery against you, and this is the recompense
Of a people who disbelieved good and this is your recompense.

12. So let them seek for outrage a gentle flank.
Far be it from you what they have wished. Far be it from you!

13. And let them seek a road other than this, for
The open country stands between you and their corpses.

14. And let them despair of mighty victory, for it
Is yours, not theirs, since you marched under your banner.

15. And let them know that deliverance is a quality
That Allah has reserved for bestowing upon the Turks.

16. If the Byzantines gain mastery, and they shall not,
They would be prey during strife for your sword's point.

17. Had they aspired to fight you in pitched battle,
They would be as one whom yourContentType revolved against.

18. If they are deluded by Heraclius' delusion,
Then they will recognize the mendacious deceiver.

19. So let each, before advancing, test himself -
Who has resolved to meet the one who meets you.

20. Whenever you deign to look upon idolaters,
It will be for releasing the Muslim captives.

21. And whenever you march against them, they cannot feel safe
From waking up your captives minus their captivity.

22. For this they have extended their necks to you,
Hoping you will be pleased, for they love not captivity.

23. By my life! They have surely looked with the eye of wisdom
By suing to you for peace and restraint.

24. And they have thrown themselves down in abjection before you
To guard a kingdom, when you call its king, he obeys.

25. So exact their tribute and the land tax,
They give you what you demand in fear of your whip.

26. Or half their kingdom - you will find it easy to take
If you give them security against your foes.

27. And recall for the Muslim's religion events
You spearheaded without precedent striking your limit.

28. Frightening those who contemplate them, though the infidels,
Since you have been amongst them, dread you.

29. Does Armanus forget his day
Witnessed with those whom your wolves scattered?

30. Your awe will show plainly on the face of his secret thoughts
So let them behold him whenever they mention you.

31. And let them inform him that this is a truce
That has become a refuge for their frightened king.

32. He who loved life obeyed you.
But he who hated life defied you.

33. Your might has been a shield above your power,
So let it not be violated protecting your sanctuary.

34. And on the edges of your wolves let them not advance
Your huntsmen until they wreak havoc.

35. A power which the vicissitudes of fate assail stubbornly
And good fortune which commands the celestial spheres.

36. Lengthen your time, and whoever sees it has not seen
The like of you in all creation, nor will he see your peer.

37. And enjoy the Imam's kindnesses, for they
Are bounties you won, so your master honored you.

38. You gave comfort to his eye by establishing religion,
So for that Allah disgraced whoever showed you enmity.

39. And you built for Islam an enduring glory
Whose pillars the irrational will salute.

40. Until you see this gift redoubled for you
As long as you live, and the like of it for your young warriors.

41. O you who lavish favors upon me! Listen to
What rapture moves me from your kindness’ stirring!

42. When spread, the blossoms of my praise will exude perfume.
I almost folded up mentioning them, were it not for you!

43. The ingenious loathed all but you and rushed
To shower upon you, for they yearn for you.

44. Today I have found your merits’ pearls strung together
In prose from me, and their scattering in poetry.

45. You have garlanded me with bounty until I cannot
Articulate full gratitude for your abounding recompense.

46. Were rhymed verse not sacrosanct in my eyes
It would suffice me to stand in awe of your sanctity.

47. The poets do not fall short in praising you deliberately,
Rather your meaning surpasses their ideas.

48. So distinguish me from them through qualities
That I may be of those you marked out by your care.

49. Singling out those whose tongues were eloquent
And embracing those who privately conversed with you.

50. By what action have you not deserved praise, or
In what thing have you not reached your aspiration?

51. For by neither have you ceased to bite your religion
And by neither were you diverted from devotion to your servants.

52. So make your fleeting glances a deliverance
For me to be of those your gaze delivered!

53. That you favor those whose praises were prolonged
And embrace those who praised you in conscience.

54. By what deed have you not deserved praise, or
Toward what goal have you not attained?

55. For by neither have you ceased to defend your faith,
Nor by either were you diverted from caring for your subjects.
