1. I passed by on my path
A graceful flower,

2. And a meadow, long and wide,
Its birds chirping,

3. Its deer graceful,
A bird in a tree

4. Not touching the fruit
As if thinking

5. Or confused
Or a lover or neglected

6. Or foolish or heedless
Because it was preoccupied

7. And its mind preoccupied
Looking into the horizons

8. Turning the longing
As if expecting

9. A visit or caution
So a Doe came up

10. Sly in her beauty
And crouched nearby

11. And stood up orating
