13. Then he finished his prayers and greeted
Showing sternness and frowning

14. And said โ€œO ignorant man, what do you ask

16. The man said โ€œYou have not given me knowledge, just say
โ€œWhat is it you do, O man?โ€

19. โ€œThis is people's obligatory prayers
โ€œBinding on them, from which none recoilโ€

20. And he fully explained religious law
So the man cried out deliberately and fell down

21. Appearing as if he had recognized his Lord
And had not known Him before for his sin

22. To trick the Sheikh and stop his travelling
Until the caravan passed by

ุฑูŽุญูŠู„ู‡ ุญูŽุชู‘ู‰ ุชูŽููˆุช ุงู„ุนูŠุฑ

23. So the Sheikh realized his intention
And foiled his deceit and cunning

25. โ€œThis lad did not know the Most Merciful
โ€œNor the Messenger except nowโ€

26. โ€œAnd now he has become Muslim, nay, believed
โ€œHow I wish I had found refuge for himโ€

27. โ€œIf he had lived he would have been my son
โ€œA great help for my numberโ€

29. โ€œI am an old man, rich
โ€œWith many paternal and maternal unclesโ€

30. โ€œAnd I have no son but him
โ€œAnd the girl is the apple of her brother's eyeโ€

32. โ€œThey are all envious enemies of me
โ€œTheir envy leaves them no composureโ€

33. โ€œI regret they take after me
โ€œMy wealth I gathered with toilโ€

ู…ุงู„ูŠ ุงู„ู‘ูŽุฐูŠ ุฌูŽู…ูŽุนุชู‡ู ุจููƒูŽุฏูŠ

34. โ€œIf this lad had lived, he would have been a fine in-law
โ€œAnd strengthened my back with his strengthโ€

35. โ€œBut he has died from his devotion

36. So the deceiver understood the ascetic's intention
He played dumb in deceit and destruction

ูู„ุฌ ููŠ ุงู„ุญูŠู„ุฉ ูˆูŽุงู„ุชู‡ุงู„ูƒ

37. And did not wake from his swoon or benefit
From his words, it was only a war of deceit

ุจูู‚ูŽูˆู„ู‡ ูˆูŽุฅูู†ู‘ูŽู…ุง ุงู„ุญูŽุฑุจ ุฎุฏุน

38. So the ascetic was sure his magic
Had not diverted his plot and cunning from him

ู…ุง ุฑุฏ ุนูŽู†ู‡ู ูƒูŽูŠุฏู‡ ูˆูŽู…ูƒุฑู‡

39. So he got up from his place calling
His companions though the night was dark

40. โ€œA man has died, so return and bear witness
โ€œTo his funeral as I told you, and striveโ€

41. So the killer feared his nearest
Companion would hear and deny him

42. So he got up from his swoon hastily
Subduing by his murder and arrogance

ูคูข. ููŽู‚ุงู…ูŽ ู…ูู† ุตุฑุนุชู‡ ู…ุจุงุฏุฑุงู‹
ู…ุบุงู„ุจุงู‹ ุจูุชูƒู‡ ู…ูƒุงุจุฑุง

43. The ascetic said โ€œStop a little
โ€œThe beautiful rewards the beautifulโ€

46. โ€œAnd in killing me is no glory

47. The cunning man said โ€œWhat disgrace attaches to me
โ€œIf it is a grave sin that overwhelms me?โ€

48. The Sheikh said โ€œA weak, powerless old man
โ€œIs too proud to be killed by the nobleโ€

49. โ€œThere is no pride in that, nor bravery
โ€œBut manifest, ugly disgrace in itโ€

51. โ€œAnd held back from him when he saw him alone
โ€œHis troops having deserted himโ€

55. โ€œSo ceaseless were Muhammad's reproachesโ€
