1. If you move out of the house, I will come to you soon,
And if fate takes you up high, I will climb up.

2. If you are wronged, we will avenge you wherever you are wronged,
Or if you seek help, we will aid you like others seeking aid.

3. Whenever you wander the lands aimlessly,
I will help you and frequent wherever you frequent.

4. If I nearly die of ardent love and recollection of you
My soul will return with the winds to my body.

5. And I said to my eyes that have suffered from remembering her,
"Flow with the waters of tears or be still."

6. I find that you forget Umm 'Amr and the mention of her
Is your motto, more than clothes in every abode.

7. So if you follow her, you will shut an eye to motes,
And if you avoid her after getting what you want, you will shrivel.
