When you yearn for Qinnasrin or Aleppo
١. هَيهاتَ مِنكَ بَنو عَمروٍ وَمَسكَنُهُم
إِذا تَشَتَّيتَ قِنِّسرينَ أَو حَلَبا
2. It stood visible when the journey pressed us
Between As-Saqifah and the gate we pierced
٢. قامَت تَراءى وَقَد جَدَّ الرَحيلُ بِنا
بَينَ السَقيفَةِ والبابِ الَّذي نُقِبا
3. Verily I give it my love and make
Umm Layth a cause for its good
٣. إِني لَمانِحُها وُدّي وَمُتَّخِذٌ
بِأُمِّ لَيثٍ إِلى مَعروفِها سَبَبا
