١. ما كُنتُ أَحسَبُ أَنَّ بَحراً زاخِراً
عَمَّ البَريَةَ كُلَّها الدَأداءَ
2. It has become buried in one arm
After filling the space with loftiness
٢. أَضحى دَفيناً في ذِراعٍ واحِدٍ
مِن بَعدِ ما مَلأَ الفَضاءَ عَلاءَ
3. Except for its generous gifts, for they
Have made the skies rain with the least of its generosity
٣. إِلّا عَطاياهُ الجِسام فَإِنَّها
فَضَحَت بِأَدنى جودها الأَنواءَ
