1. Blessed art Thou for Thy smile's sweet grace,
When o'er Thy face kind lights and shadows race,

١. لِلَّهِ بِرْكَتُكَ التي حَسُنَتْ
نَظَراً لِوَجهِكَ حِينَ تَبتَسِمُ

2. The heaven hath broidered silks and velvet gleam,
Her stars Thine welcome guests, or so they seem.

٢. حَكَتِ السَّماءَ ووِردُها شَفق
وَنُجومُها أَضيافُهُ وَهُمُ

3. The Zodiac's lions as with cold are numb
In awe of Thee when Thou art angered, come.

٣. وَكأَنَّما السَّبُعانِ قَد جَمَدا
مِن خَوْفِ بِأْسِكَ حِينَ تَنْتَقِمُ

4. The streaming flood hath from this mouth and that
Told of two swords blood-blazing fierce in spat,

٤. والماءُ مِن فَمِ ذا وذاكَ حَكَى
سَيْفينِ سُلا والسُّيوفُ دَمُ

5. In silvern armour warrior-hosts lie dead,
Slain by the tear-floods Thine eyes have shed.

٥. وَصَوالجٌ في فِضَّةٍ سُبِكَتْ
لِلماءِ دُونَ طُلوعِها الدِّيَمُ

6. Unfurl, unfold! Lo, Thy day is at hand,
When, loosed, shall fly all flags at Thy command!

٦. وَكأَنَّما أَيَّا مُنا حُلَلٌ
نُشِرَتْ وَيومُكَ ذا لها عَلَمُ
