So my pot boils with fury
١. أَغْرَى اهتِمامُكَ يَا أمْجَدُ
فَقِدْرِيَ مِن غَيْظِها تُزْبِدُ
2. And my fast and the cold have come
While our kitchen in it has become dormant
٢. وصَوْميَ والبَرْدُ قَدْ أَقبلا
وَمَطْبَخُنا فِيها أَرْمَدُ
