1. We bid him farewell, though clouds have rained tears for him,
And the standards bowed in grief for him towards the meadows.

2. My sorrow is renewed that today he is leaving,
While his righteousness remains after he is gone.

3. And how many noble deeds has Minister Muhammad,
While Hatim's generosity still remains by its shore.

4. His tomb neighbored two glories, over which Arabs and non-Arabs contend,
And indeed, may Allah prolong the life of Ali,

5. And the lives of his sons for reward, they are all winners.
And indeed for him in every glorious deed is sublimity,

6. And none equals this glory, and Allah is All-Knowing.
And none equals him in patience without him, but only

7. According to the resolve of the resolute, come the resolutions.
