1. I rested my eyelids happily because of you in leisure
For a promise that had spared me the evil of enemies
١. أَنمْتُ طَرْفي قَرِيراً مِنكَ في دَعَةٍ
لِمَوْعِدٍ قَدْ كَفَاني شَرَّ أَعْدائي
2. And the guarantor of dignity came asking
For the fulfillment of your promise, O thousands of my masters
٢. وَقَدْ أَتَى ضَامِنُ الشَّخْتُورِ مُلْتَمساً
إنجازَ وَعَدِكَ يا أَلفينِ مولائي
3. And my dwelling is surrounded by two seas below you
And I have not claimed that you walk on water
٣. ومَنْزِلي حَفَّهُ بَحرانِ دُونَكُمُ
وما ادَّعَيْتُ لَكُمْ مَشْياً على الماءِ
