From my waiting for hopes we wished for
١. وَقَائلٍ قالَ لي لَمَّا أَنْ رأَى قَلَقي
مِن انتِظارِي لآمالٍ تُمَنّينا
2. The outcomes of patience, as most of them said
Are praiseworthy. I said, I fear they will disappoint us
٢. عَواقِبُ الصَّبْرِ فِيما قالَ أَكثرُهُمْ
مَحمودَةٌ قُلْتُ أَخشَى أَنْ تُخرِّينا
