1. Beyond your nearness, hopes have no delight,
Nor after this day, does life any prospects invite,

2. God has granted us that which gladdened our plight,
And so, every heart rejoiced in its respite.

3. No path to righteousness has been obscured from anyone,
The full moon shines and the proof is apparent to each one.

4. The breeze has a fragrance I never knew it donned,
Were it not for the urban and poetic winds that have blown.

5. With Joseph and his brother, Egypt smiles elated,
As generosity and joy have its cloak decorated.

6. Bestowing with hands that conceal all that they carry,
While modesty is veiled, no gaze can it parry.

7. A people like the sharp swords of India they may seem,
Yet, on days of pardon, all wounds they do redeem.

8. Upon the brow of time, obvious is their sheen,
Without evil, though to others it may clearly beam.

9. In the path of the lofty, their merits have been set,
And so between mankind, their repute is the best.
