1. A prince with a radiant visage that has long
Appeared like a moon beneath the dark of night's completeness.

2. He strikes with opinion before the spears,
And with resolve before the swords.

3. He leads them calmly like the winds,
Lightning flashing behind them in the darkness.

4. Resolve makes them fly without need of whips,
And rebuke holds them without need of reins.

5. And we attribute the refinement of their training
To the refinement of their generous horsemen.
