١. وَلِسَانُهُ قَدْ كَلَّ حَتَ
ى قلَّ منهُ كُلُّ شَاحِذْ
2. By his right, yet he who has been accused fears the violent

٢. وَبِعُذْرِهِ إذْ لَمْ يَجِدْ
لِلقَوْلِ نَهْجَاً قَطُّ نَافِذْ
٣. وَبِحَقّهِ وَهْوَ المُزَ
يَّفُ أَنْ يَخافَ مِن الجهَابِذْ
٤. هَبْني أجْتَرأتُ فَأَينَ مِن
شَوْكِ القَنَا شَوْكُ القَنافِذْ
