1. O Lord, do not let Hamzah gloat over us
And make the Nile jump for us in a leap
١. يَارَبِّ لا تُشمِتْ بِنا حَمْزَهْ
وَقَفِّزَ النيلَ لنا قَفْزَهْ
2. And do not make us taste weakness and humiliation
O Lord of power and honor
٢. وَلا تُذِقْنا العَجزَ والذُّلَّ لِل
خَبّاز يَاذا الحَوْلِ وَالعِزَّهْ
3. And let every treasurer taste a pillar
In a heart that pierces him like a stab
٣. وَكلُّ خَزَّانٍ أَذِقْهُ من ال
عمودِ في قلبٍ لهُ وَكْزَهْ
4. And every time You add a finger to us
It feels like a stab in his eye
٤. وكُلَّما زِدْتَ لنا إصْبَعاً
كانَ لهُ في عَيْنهِ وَخْزَهْ
5. Until we see the prostrate earth
Trembling from what You have revealed
٥. حتَّى نَرَى هَامِدَةَ الأرضِ قَدْ
أَضحَتْ بِما أَنْزَلْتَ مُهَتزَّهْ
