1. And an envier died of grief when he saw
That I enjoyed a life that death had not yet marred
١. وَحاسِدٍ مارَقَّ لمَّا رَأَى
لي حَالةً مَا مَعَها بُقْيَا
2. He said, as truth itself bore out his words:
It suffices him that John should be alive for him
٢. قَالَ وإنَّ الحَقَّ في قَولِه
يَكفِيهِ أَنْ يَحيَا لَهُ يَحيى
