1. Do not grieve for the inspired poet
He did not die, but became a star

2. He was just a passing visitor
For what secret did he come, we do not know

3. And now he has returned to his flock
In the sanctity of that greatest sphere

4. Now he has returned to his Lord
A lad longing for eternity, eminent

5. Now he has come close to Him
A lad belonging to the horizons of the sky

6. He was a moth confused in this lowly world
Throwing himself into its light or its fire

7. And if he survived its fire once
He did not escape the flames of the self

8. Do not grieve for the inspired poet
He did not enjoy the bloom of days

9. He passed through this universe in a moment
As long as that greatest eternity

10. What majesty beyond his description
What beauty in it he did not depict

11. If he has returned to His embrace
It is the return of the enamored to the Beloved

12. And the heart's return to its chest
Cuddling in its folds

13. Do not grieve for the inspired poet
By God, he did not sleep with the sleepy

14. Nor did the ravages of time affect him
He only disappeared for a season
