1. In what words can my poetry describe you
You have honored my fate and valued my home

2. Haven't the blessings been enough
That you have also graced my tomb

3. I swear by the sun in its brightness
I swear by the full moon and the Pleiades

4. With your overwhelming kindness
As if it were clear daylight

5. Within you lies every meaning of the sea
So lofty and dignified

6. You are the expansive chest of springs
The smile of the shore and the lighthouse

7. As if this beauty manifests
From a gentle, pleasing origin

8. A wave of land in continuity
With no stillness or rest

9. You have immersed me in beauty until
My rhymes wandered into disorder

10. The sea saved me yet I remain
A drowned man in endless favor

11. I was like dew in the gardens of my life
And rain over the desert

12. I faced distress from the nights
So from haze to haze

13. My resentment of the nights grew long
And waiting for mercy grew long

14. I have forgiven all their wrongs
Tonight my apology is due to them
