1. Tell the minister of truth, he who
Has set things right with his wisdom,

2. Take from my words a pledge that I
Am to the field of glories his envoy.

3. O you who made endowments in his time
A city, and the wasteland in it palaces,

4. And unearthed in it treasures which
The ages have been too weak to unearth,

5. You unearthed in it ingenuities
Digging up every precious thing.

6. All that has been said and all that has not
Of your abundant flowing bounty,

7. That flowed powerless from a lip
Or hid in the bosoms' depths,

8. Of Abdul Haq's right in his justice,
To it, though the journey be refused.

9. Greetings restoring the origin,
And a bouquet presented to the minister.

10. Glory be to my Lord, we have seen the gloom
In your time cleared by a shining dawn.

11. You walked this age in its course,
While the age ascends on the wings of eagles.

12. You persisted with endowments until they saw
Bondage broken and the prisoner redeemed.

13. How they reviled it as a turtle,
Let them look at it flying winged!

14. O you who unearthed in it the age's treasures,
Peerless in every raging flood,

15. Of the house's gold and its signs,
A man great of heart and pure of conscience.

16. In him are the sea's meanings in calm
And a spirit like the flowing of streams.

17. Take from his traits and his knowledge
What gives the roses and folds up the seas.
