Our souls met in an arena

And we pitched our tent in an oasis

19. Where wishes and remembrance grew
I asked about the past, and whether

My beloved, where can I go from shame

21. And my heart, where can it go from your question
I'm most ashamed of the striving of my guide

22. From a youth that's lost or from the light of my eye
Sickness wanders in the heart of my demise

23. And I see I haven't fulfilled my debt to you
I am yours, and my melody is yours alone

24. So decree what you wish for my day and my night
Time passed, and I remember nothing after you

25. Except your days, O twin of my soul
And I'm the bird whose heart flew

26. Only to your branch and the ancient nest
We haven't changed, nor the state of youth

27. Or the pure passion and noble affection
