And my love, O my soul and O my clarity

2. Shall I give details of what I have and how much
A heart has, and its matter is summarized in one word

3. But the art of poetry and the roses of loved ones
Are gifted so here is my poem and even my bouquet

4. Poetry is a lush garden and its fragrance
Flows to us from the fragrance of Heaven

5. And I see you as a garden of tenderness and beauty
Does one garden send eloquence to another garden?

6. So to you, O most precious beloved, my daughter
And most loved whom my affections pour towards

7. A memento from your loving, gentle father
So if you remember, this is my wish

8. And writing is like drawing, if one day
My drawing disappears, pay heed to the precious trace
