1. If you oppose a man, then help him
Recover from a stumble if you can

2. When a man first wrongs you, wrong him back
With equal wrong though kin be the bond

3. Draw near him if you find no other way
Be resolute if you know you’ve gained no ground

4. If you cannot humiliate him then wait
Till a day comes when you’re fully empowered

5. The Lord has clothed his breast with anger
And he is seized by grief beyond all reason

6. The Lord knows well that I when hardships call
Will be his helper and champion

7. I’ll repay good will with benevolence
And evil till the evildoer tires of sin

8. I’ll be provoked to rage and block his harm
Though evil beings cloak their wicked secrets

9. I’ll show patience but not cowardice
And stand against the arrogance of fools

10. I emerge from hardship after being hemmed
While other men are narrowed by despair

11. I’ll bear some things until I overcome
Silent about what I intend to conquer
