1. If sustenance is straitened for you in a town,
Then there are other lands whose sustenance is not so straitened.

2. Beware of dwelling in an abode of humiliation,
Lest you suffer with a brimming cup of ignominy.

3. The spacious earth has not been straitened for you,
Nor has the door of Allah's sustenance been closed to you.
