1. You have exalted yourself above all, O arrogant one
Choosing for yourself the glory of divinity

2. You have pure arrogance, O arrogant one
Above any deficiency in the most sacred self

3. Your supreme arrogance is absolutely above deficiency
Understandings have diminished in relation to it and faltered

4. And the farthest reach of intellects is their limitation
And their frustration in an awe-inspiring sea

5. And you have not veiled from perception what cannot be borne
But the reality is beyond conception

6. And the essence of perception is deficient in relation to the Sublime
So how can it be in the arrogance of divinity?

7. How can delusion traverse the seas of blindness?
And thoughts are cut off below identity

8. Alas the glory of the matter and perception has waned
And the essence of the case has been absent from minds

9. You have drawn near to me in Your arrogance, raising
My worth and You have not left me to ruin

10. And You strengthened my resolve when people debased me
By Your power, my Lord, not by my power and my strength

11. So grant me, despite what Your arrogance has blocked off
Humility in Your pleasure and awe
