1. O Succorer, affliction has stricken me, so help me
And dispel my harm and misery, and say to me,

2. Seeking abundant grace from the Merciful in my poverty
Beneath the gate of Mercy with my words and deeds.

3. Lord, lead me not to my own devices,
For there is no resource in myself.

4. Revive, O Living One, my nature which You originated,
And make for me a light to walk by in my bewildered state.

5. My poverty has not escaped Your knowledge, O Eternal Refuge,
Nor my downfall and evil situation.

6. O My Master, take up the task of repelling disasters
That have struck me, between harm and degradation.

7. I hope for nothing but Your true promise,
Which the like of me hopes for, O Truth.

8. Give me priority, O First and Foremost,
And nearness to You, and Your patronage.

9. Purify me, O Holy One, in the sea of Your holiness,
And wash my soul and intellect with purity.

10. And clothe me, O Peace, with well-being
That embraces my two abodes, and spare me all terror.

11. Inspire my soul with faith, O You Who makes faith firm,
And make fear of You my occupation.

12. The gravity of my situation has become great, O Guardian Lord;
Save me and give me life and be my life.

13. You have rent asunder, O Almighty, my collectedness;
So mend the breach and today recollect my scatteredness.

14. Abandon me not, my Maker, to the power of trials;
Protect me from every deceit and danger.

15. O Creator of all, absolve my soul
Of the difficulties that secretly woke in my essence and my attributes.

16. Delineate fear of You in my heart, O Shaper,
And depict fine hoping in my form.
