1. O withholder of harm from Your saints,
And their enemies according to the specification of Destiny.

2. O withholder of gifts, O giver of gifts,
Your command has the right to withhold as the gift does.

3. O withholder of things, protecting, making ready
For the reasons behind the ruling of protection and prevention.

4. You prevented the hearts of the pious from passion,
And that is a gift from You, my Master, in reality.

5. And you prevented guidance from the infidels,
Blessed are You because of the mysteries of Your decree.

6. So as to reveal the ruling of justice and subdue the injustice here,
O You who has justice even equal to a mustard seed.

7. And Your prevention from me some of what I seek—
I have certainty that in the prevention lies what is best for me.

8. And protection for me from some things harmful for me—
watchful care for me and pure affection.

9. Yours is praise! I cannot enumerate praise of You
Regarding Your rights. Incapacity and restriction are my faculties.

10. By Your power, O my God, prevent me from afflictions
in religion, worldly life, and the Day of Resurrection.

11. And turn hostility away from me however You wish. I am indeed
Surrounded by enemies from every direction.
