1. O God, Honored of Essence, not for the sake of
Glorifying Your Essence or from the loftiness of my support

2. O God, Honored in description, beyond the grasp of the seeker
And missing what is sought and the weakness of might

3. O God, Transcendent of attributes and everlasting existence
Beyond states, insistence, and transience

4. O God, Possessor of dominion, command, and riches
Beyond opposites, reversal, and need

5. O God, Whose judgment is absolute, beyond objection
Or amendment of any case

6. O God, Pillar and neighbor of refuge, grand
In highest glory, destiny, and care

7. O God, Irresistible in might, conquest, and authority
Impregnable in ability to give refuge against You through refuge

8. I seek refuge in the side of might and destruction threatens me
So stand for me, O Mighty One, in zeal

9. I seek refuge in the height of might while poverty threatens my face
So be for me, O Mighty One, in my absence

10. I seek refuge in the conquest of might while the adversary overpowers me
So support me, O Mighty One, for my honor

11. By Your supreme might, clothe me with the honor of my lowliness
To You, and give none but You my lowliness
