1. God is Ever-Living, never ceasing to be
In His Essence, by His Essence, and for His Essence

2. Nothing exists other than God, the Ever-Living One
For the Essence itself, its existence stands

3. And the realities of the Names are in the Name of the Ever-Living
For it is the first of Names in its ascent

4. The essence of every reality returns to Him
After the all-encompassing Name and Attributes

5. And it is impossible for an essential reality to exist
Without the Ever-Living as its origin and permanence

6. The Ever-Living's life is necessary to His Essence
The Essence has no way out from itself

7. And the Ever-Living's life is not the entity of Him
Rather it is neither part of His otherness

8. God is Ever-Living not in the sense of an attribute
Added on, eternal other than the negation of His death

9. The necessity of His life to His Essence suffices
To obtain the victory of permanence without cause

10. Ever-living necessarily, not for an accidental cause
For then He would depend on dependencies

11. Ever-living necessarily, not for His life being
A cause that established the existence of His life

12. This is the occurrence of a thing being the cause of itself
And it is impossible for a thing to be the cause of itself

13. It is not a balance in temperament or the forces
Of sensation that are the genus of His created lives

14. The Essence’s self-necessity suffices, without
Intermediation, from the eternal Attributes

15. The Necessary Truth, the Eternal, is exalted above
Needing intermediation from its specifics

16. Attributes become necessary to Him and not other than Him
And their attachment is in the negation of negatives

17. And the interdependence of the Names and their realities
Is to the reality of the Name of the Ever-Living, unifying its diversity

18. The Ever-Living has dominion over the Names
In how it appears and the glory of its eternity

19. And on the perfections of life depend
The effects of each Name in its traditions

20. And the appearance of each Name in the special light
Its radiance kindled from its darkness

21. And the appearance of each Name in the power of its action
To the Ever-Living belongs dominion over its powers

22. The manifestations of the Attributes appeared while all
Extending from the water of the eye of His life
