1. O Accountant of the worlds, who can suffice me in my poverty,
You who have accounted for all creation,

2. My sufficiency is in being satisfied, O Sufficient One, and enriched
By your accounting, O Allah, most generous Accountant.

3. So which soul, my Lord, have you not covered
With blessings and kindness at every moment?

4. And which soul, O Accountant, has it lost
When it turned to none but You and clung?

5. You are exalted, none exists but You as existence,
Sufficiency for those You created in truth.

6. So for me and my all-encompassing incapacity and need,
Who can suffice to meet my need but You?

7. Far from it! This servant has no suffiency
Apart from You, nor one from whom to hope for his mission.

8. O my God, I complain of all sorrow and grief
To You, so be the repeller of my complaint.

9. I have no covenant that I will find rejection
When I turn my hopes to you, O Sufficient One, disappointed.

10. I have no covenant that one other than You, my Master,
Will suffice, so account, O Accountant, for my richness!
