1. My Lord, I ask in Your Beautiful Names
Help me, at Your Magnificent Door I cry

2. My Lord, I seek refuge in Your Beautiful Names
Devoted am I, holding to their cord

3. My Lord, I am enchanted by Your Beautiful Names
I remember and recite them night and day

4. My Lord, through them my spirit finds its rest
And before me, my paths are illuminated

5. My Lord, whoever comes to You
Is met with generosity and a noble abode

6. My Lord, whoever yearns for You
Is satisfied with endless bounty from You

7. My Lord, whoever comes to You in need
Calls to You and is helped without delay

8. My Lord, whoever thinks well of You
Their thoughts become unveiled certainty

9. My Lord, whoever does good or evil
Is requited only by Your grace

10. My Lord, whoever turns from You
Receives only Your rejection

11. My Lord, how can I be, when passion for You
Has taken my heart and captured my mind

12. My Lord, had I loved anything but You
You would have corrected my inclination

13. My Lord, had I plunged my soul in the darkness of my nature
You would have saved me by Your pull

14. My Lord, had I wasted my life away from Your door
I would have perished from those around me

15. My Lord, I have found none but You as beautiful
Approaching me gently, despite my ignorance

16. My Lord, from You comes what befits what You have filled me with
And from me only my form

17. My Lord, my sins have marred my face
And cast me in misfortune and evil deeds

18. My Lord, disobedience has torn apart my life
And committing sins only leads to ruin

19. My Lord, if I persist in sin, I cannot come with good
For those are the acts of the likes of me

20. My Lord, one steeped in nature cannot be purified
To what pleases the Most Merciful by mere effort

21. My Lord, if I gambled my devilish self
In acts of obedience, I would gain virtue

22. My Lord, though my sins be grave
They are but a mote in Your endless clemency

23. My Lord, I have never rebelled against You out of pride
It was only the deception of vanity that appeared to me

24. My Lord, if You judged my soul with justice
It would be right for me to suffer Your torment

25. My Lord, my servanthood cannot endure Your almighty rule
Nor the innate lowliness of my state

26. My Lord, nothing can take refuge from Allah
Nor can anyone escape You

27. My Lord, what refuge is there other than Your mercy
For a servant from You, or any shelter

28. My Lord, if You reject me, unforgiven
Woe to me from what has befallen me, what ruin upon me

29. My Lord, if You reject me, losing Your intimacy
I will find none to take my place

30. My Lord, if my passion veils me from You
Make my passion fade away and wither

31. My Lord, I did not disobey out of compulsion
But my self tempted me into my deeds

32. My Lord, I did not disobey in doubt of Your promise and threats
Nor in reliance upon my own power

33. My Lord, I did not abandon Your door in despair and hopelessness
Nor contentment with my own efforts

34. My Lord, all things other than You are metaphor
And evidence of You for one who reflects

35. My Lord, I see nothing but the reality of Your manifestation
Neither metaphor nor witness but You

36. My Lord, nothing can change Your decree
Neither the weakness of the created nor their schemes

37. My Lord, my downfall is from my own poor choices
And following the footsteps of the deceiving enemy

38. My Lord, will You hold me accountable for my ignorant youth?
To You my only excuse is the ignorance of my condition

39. My Lord, if all that surrounds Your throne disobeyed You
You would humble them with clemency and grace

40. My Lord, if all that surrounds Your throne disobeyed You
They could not decrease You by a single atom

41. My Lord, Your majesty is not in need of my worship
Nor my obligatory rituals and supererogatory prayers

42. My Lord, if You enable me to please You
It benefits only myself

43. My Lord, if I wrong myself unto ruin
You are my Lord, beyond any deed of mine

44. My Lord, I have sinned, breaking the day
And empowered my soul, the heaviest burden

45. My Lord, Your love of the penitent leads to mercy
And the beauty of Your face inspires my poetry

46. My Lord, I repent to You sincerely
Of my sins, in word and deed

47. My Lord, I repent knowing that whoever comes to You
You treat with forgiveness and endless kindness

48. I care not if You pardon and consent to me
While all of creation mocks or derides me

49. My Lord, I complain to You of affliction
And Your abiding blessings are my request

50. My Lord, I complain to You of poverty, humiliation
And need - the like of me amidst deprivation

51. My Lord, You are Rich, of endless mercy
Fill my hands with hope through Your grace

52. My Lord, Your treasuries are without limit
And Your hands are not straitened by generosity

53. My Lord, You give without measure
And give without scale or substitute

54. My Lord if You give me, even water would run dry
And pasture would wither from my immense need

55. My Lord, I complain to You of the paths of misfortune
That have brought me war and a hostile people

56. My Lord, I complain to You of an oppressor who has subjugated me
Subjugate him in turn and confuse him utterly

57. My Lord, punish him, be severe with him
With the grip of vengeance, without delay

58. Grant me strength over him and stratagems
With no stratagem but Yours to avail me

59. Empower me through Your overwhelming conquest and dominance
That folds him as folded parchment

60. And clothe me in the majesty of Your mighty Names
A majesty that cannot be challenged or rivaled

61. For the mighty whom the zeal of Allah has reached
Has no victory or attainment but through You

62. The mighty whom the aid of Allah has established
In the place of intimacy - none can rival

63. The mighty whom the glory and pride from You has killed
Is tied only to Your cord

64. O Zeal of Allah, reach me with Your aid
As victory comes to me from near at hand

65. O Zeal of Allah, unsheathe against the oppressor
The sword that splits his darkness and misguidance

66. O Zeal of Allah, destroy unbelief and tyranny
Or make it morn for him by You

67. O Zeal of Allah, I have been wronged and my complaint is to
The One who sees and hears my words

68. O Zeal of Allah, strike my enemies down
With lightning, and hasten their ruin

69. My Lord, Your aid is my aid
And the sincerity of my prayer is my sword and arrows

70. The hosts of Your Names are the supporters of my conquest
The treasures of Your Names are my treasure and provision

71. The fortresses of Your Names are the bastion of my security
The relief of Your Names is the rain on my drought

72. The lightning of Your Names snatches away
The sights of those who wish my evil state and humiliation

73. The outpourings of Your Names are the power
That joins me to all creations and connects me

74. So clothe me in the brilliance of their mysteries as light
And fulfill all my requests through their outpouring

75. And let me be enraptured, my heart enamored
With remembering them, night and day

76. And relieve me through them, remove my sorrows
And worries, and free me from my shackles and chains

77. With their lights I fear not the events of time
Driving away the darkness of my worries and grief

78. O Remover of affliction, Reliever of agony
Hasten relief and kindness upon me

79. O Succorer of the distressed, O Merciful to the desperate
O Savior of the drowning, answer my call

80. The encompassing knowledge is the source of my request
And my request is my poverty and lowly state

81. Requests of the tongue and heart are noble
And grace fulfills them with grace

82. The beauty of Your speech has left me to call upon You
And excellent hope urges on my mind

83. And to Your noble face my praise of You manifests
Through You, and exalted are my words

84. From the veils of gentleness shine lights
Not from my dense ignorance

85. Good words and a Merciful Lord
Yet my state is that of one suspicious and base

86. My Lord, this is my means I hold to
Your noble and magnificent door

87. I have no argument nor intercessor
Only calling upon and remembering Your Name

88. I see myself not denied when I stand calling You
And arrive at Your door

89. My tongue recites and my heart is sincere
Under the waterspout of the mystery of the Names flowing through me

90. So grant me Your pleasure in the garden of eternity
Joined with my parents and family

91. And grant me provision to veil my face
From creation, immediately, beyond what I request

92. My Lord, deliver to the essence of the Prophet You sent
As a mercy and seal of messengers

93. Ahmad the Chosen One, bless and salute him
As You will salutations upon him

94. And upon his family and companions
What the heart of an earnest supplicant and what You grant of grace

95. And reward him the best that You have rewarded a messenger
Of Your immense pleasure and excellent friendship

96. And fulfill my prayers through him
With acceptance and ample gifts from You

97. And pour mercy in supporting him
To relieve my hardship through it and reunite my affairs

98. What hardship is not relieved by Your gentleness
For one captured by love of the Prophet through Your cord?

99. The supplicant attains response if he dies
With the meaning of his beauty manifested
