1. Knowledge is a trap for hearts,
And brightness of minds without innate gift is extinct,

2. And effort before attainment in comprehending it,
And attainment in verification is innate gift and instilled endowment.

3. When truths are veiled from pilgrims,
Then illusions in it are latent obstacles.

4. And the sanctity of abstraction attracts purity,
And purity of souls is the perceptive critic.

5. When hearts are sanctified from passions,
Then they witness the secrets of the unseen.

6. And the sights attained if extended,
From the sea of God's light, light and burning.

7. And when the rays gathered and shone,
Then aim for with you on your path is a guide.

8. And regarding your perfection admit shortcoming,
Lest your illusion and corrupt imagination deceive you.

9. And regarding your praiseworthy qualities content,
While your passion beyond the springs is deterrent.

10. And on the steps in the spiritual ascent impeller,
If you have no assistant in the spiritual ascent.

11. Why has the wisdom of felicity not come to you?
And why has witness of the overflowing knowledge not come to you?

12. With the perfection of composition are prophetic leaves,
Lawful for the guidance of souls and springs.

13. Their margins are adorned with scintillating gems,
For God, behind the veil, scintillating gems.

14. They inspire spiritual wisdom from their light,
And the Prophet's guidance is the illuminating torch.

15. In them for the gleaner of knowledge are lamps,
Signs, spiritual stations and purposes.

16. And spiritual knowledge and subtle outpourings,
And holy manifestations and visions.

17. Hearts come alive through them and their guidance is cherished,
And for all that hearts cherish are proofs.

18. Blossoms scattering the gems of their words,
And of knowledge choice rarities and unprecedented innovations.

19. Ibn Ibrahim was perplexed in arranging it -
Honor to him, the flowers of stars bow down.

20. The radiant sun wishes it would make for it,
A crown, and for it the stars garlands.

21. Beauty shines through it the beauties of Joseph,
And for Joseph's beauty all beauty bows down.

22. Blessings upon our rightly-guided group,
What an excellent imam, our imam and guide!

23. He severed the disputants, guiding them,
And thus the truth-ful from the truths excels.

24. And the truth prevails, and the divinely guided prevails,
While the futile tires, and the trickster corrupts.

25. Or do you not see the conclusive dialogue with wisdom?
For truth in it sources and springs.

26. Or do you not see the illuminated precincts,
Wherein for the riders of knowledge are pursuits.

27. The harvest of success grew on the pages of its discourse,
Watering it, and the Quran one water.

28. The devoted worshippers of every gnostic drank their fill,
For they are traps for whoever so desires.

29. In the period of Muhammad the law of Muhammad prospered -
What an excellent cradle for us and how smoothly did he guide!

30. And its annotation spread, filling it,
With gems, and those gems an everlasting treasure.

31. And felicity prevailed, and luck shone,
And the envious enemy recoiled.

32. And the stars of good tidings gleamed when
They were strung together for its precious essence, garlands.

33. Perfect in its composition and its perfection in it,
For the purposes of perfection, knotted.

34. And my chronogram has come to you - study the arrangement
Or a moon appeared in it purposes of law.

35. Or if you wish an evident act of righteousness, its chronogram,
Or say, the annotation of hadiths unprecedented innovations.
