1. Your erring servant came in ignorance and folly
With major sin, O Forgiver of every enormity

2. And Your forgiveness in facilitating repentance intercedes for me
That You, O Forgiver, accept my repentance

3. You forgive with enabling the penitent one who disobeyed
To emerge from his disgrace in sin

4. And Your forgiveness is absolute benevolence to the servant
Beautiful omnipotence and favor of divinity

5. You have pardoned, O Forgiver, my misconduct, though I have not invoked
Anything but polytheism, a sin my virtue did not perpetrate

6. So You did not cease benevolence and generosity
That befits the glory of God in every way

7. Nor close off means before me, gently
And kindly and enabling the realization of my repentance

8. And in all this, I do not cease from evil
Nor avoid that which spells my doom and misery

9. And that is with my knowledge that I will return
To arrogance that does not constrain my prodigality

10. To ruin, O Forgiver, if Your pleasure escapes me
And Your forgiveness, O Lord, is my safeguard

11. My God, save me by making repentance sincere
And make the adornment of repentance my adornment
